This is about something that happened a long time ago.

Four years ago, to be exact. In 2004, I first attempted to draw a picture in photoshop.

Needless to say, it was awful.

I found that picture on an old disc this week, and realised just how much my drawing skills have changed. Out of interest, I decided to redraw a new version of the character, to see how I'd interpret it now.

Yep, so this is the result. If you want to see the comparison between this and a really awful first picture, click here . . . but I'd suggest you don't XD

i see you took more time with details this time :)

and i love the bokeh type dots on her head..from light source or so
did you normally start with the background and go to blocking in colors or....
sorry if i'm pestering you so much ^^;

Hehe, no, it's fine! I think I've thought more about my art today than all year! =P I usually block in the background first and use it like an underpainting, blocking my colours in over the top and mixing them all. ^^
