Title has pretty much nothing to do with this journal content.

I apologise in advance for the lack of interesting material in this journal.

I just thought I'd update because it is now July, it is freezing cold and there is frost on my windows. And I have to change the birthday features over, so go look at them! ^^

I have finally got a paypal account, so after exams finish I'll be able to take a few commissions! And also, the prize for my next feature challenge will be better

And I have been drawing random scrawlings on slippers! I was bored on the weekend so I painted an old, old pair of shoes I found in the laundry. They were old and a rather unattractive pink colour. I've never tried anything like this before, so the results weren't spectacular. I only had yellow paint, so yellow they became.
_{Not the greatest pair of shoes in history ... but I'll get better!!}



And they have 'it only happens in fairytales' written up the (inner) side ... _{hence the journal title}
Any one have any ideas for designs I could do?

also, HELP! what is your favourite book? Because I haven't read a good book for about five months. Any genre (except sci-fi) is good. Please suggest something!! ^___^

I was talking to =imaeko recently. Last month she posted a journal with a feature similar to below in it, and the response was pretty poor. We can do better than that!

Here’s my challenge to you.

Suggest someone for the feature AND then make sure to look at the other featured works ... leave a thoughtful comment or critique for one of the artists. Just a little bit of effort. You never know, you might find a friend. Go on, I dare you.

Eighteen!

All these things I can do now ...

I’ve been spoiled over the past couple of days … Which is always fun ^^ My friend took me to the circus on Friday night, and some more friends came over on Saturday night. ^^ ~Ree-Nova drew me an awesome birthday picture as well ... Thank you!!

... now that's out of my system ... some proper news:

I’m going to the UTAS School of Art Winter School these holidays. It starts Tuesday and goes for two weeks. It was such short notice … I only found out last Wednesday … and sacrificed my entire holidays to go… TT_TT

Wonder it I’ll regret that …

AND I’m getting glasses, which should be interesting. I’m picking my frames out tomorrow … hehe.

I've had a headache for the past three days and it's not going away!!

That's the only negative thing I have to say ... It's only two and a bit more weeks of term left, then HOLIDAYS … and (more exciting), my birthday!! It’s on a sunday this year … ^^

Anyway, because I haven’t posted in a long, long while, I thought I’d put some images in here of the work I have been doing lately, mostly for school.



This is a poster I did for school … We had to pick one of our subjects and show how ithad affected modern Australian life and society. So I chose Japanese. And put in as many Japanese-things-available-in-Australia as I could think of off the top of my head. I know there are many more … I just couldn’t be bothered illustrating them all. Haha, if anyone's room actually looks like that ... >_>

And these are some things I did for Art this week. We have an assignment on ‘digital art and the hand-drawn line’ … I love the first one most ^___^ … I used the wonderful =deathbycanon-stock and *mjranum-stock's stock for reference.





And I've got many pictures all lined up to work on once school finishes!
