So, you might have noticed some sketches being submitted lately? :'D I didn't intend to upload them, but eventually I decided to share. Hope you don't mind ♥ The characters revolve around a novel I am writing, and ... I won't be posting my writing to dA. Haha, I'll spare you that, at least. But I do draw these guys a lot (anyone who has seen my room would back me up here), and it has got to the point that if I wanted to upload, I didn't have much of a choice but to introduce you to them :'D
I have to say, drawing my own characters is a whole lot more motivating than drawing random pictures. It is so easy to get inspiration for an image. I can easily sketch something every day. So, which of you have OC's? Do you draw them? Can you tell me about them? *A*
I might even draw some.
So there is Zanthi and Mordecai. And many more characters. Emlyn has made an appearance, and others will follow soon. Ask me about them if you want. I'll answer :'D Ah, and get used to seeing them? orz
Man, I forgot about July birthdays! D: If you have a birthday in July, leave the thumb code for a deviation you would like featured and I will put it on my front page ♥
Oh, and these adorable commissions of Zanthi and Mordecai. Go check them out if you like chibis~ ♥

And visit my blog now and then for closeups, detail shots, and WIPS of my images

Also, I will be doing picture giveaways there. ♥ Specially once I give my watercolours a work out.

It's a lot better than drawing fanart, which seems hollow somehow compared to OCs which always have such life to them.
Even more than drawing fanart, drawing pictures with just pretty faces and no characters feels the worst sometimes. I agree, OCs do have more energy and life to put into the picture. The pictures half draw themselves ;D
And I suppose drawing OCs is kind of easy as every OC has a bit of one's self in the picture.
and i like mordecai XD he always has nice sort of evil expressions
